Location: Loma Linda CA
Salary: $24/hr

The Opportunity
- Greet all patients in a warm friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls as well as take and give messages in a timely manner.
- Process patient registrations.
- Distribute and verify accuracy of patient form completion.
- Comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties; answer patients questions; maintain the reception area.
- Call for backoffice assistance for patients in distress.
- Collect accurate insurance information from patients.
- Forward medical record requests to appropriate Vituity team members as needed.
- Schedule appointments if applicable to the clinical location.
- Accurately post/document payments received.
- Collect copays old balances and payments for services rendered or other purchased items.
- Discharge patients.
- Transmit necessary and requested documents to RCM team as needed.
- Refer patients to appropriate billing personnel as needed.
- Print and prepare superbills if applicable to the clinical location.
- Maintain clean neat and orderly work area.
- Maintain correct chart order.
- Attend and actively participate in all training inservices and staff meetings.
- Process correspondence in a timely manner.
- Maintain patient daily log.
- Protect patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- If applicable to the clinical location
- Verify insurance coverage.
- Monitor and maintain business office inventory and equipment.
- Assist with patient rooming and setup retrieving and restocking supplies cleaning up treatment area and other related tasks.
Required Experience and Competencies
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 12 years of experience in a customer service position or as a Medical Receptionist required.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy law.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Numerical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Legible notetaking with correct spelling.
- Teamwork oriented and must have initiative.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Problem solving including being able to work well with difficult/impatient patients and making sure all forms are correct.

- Advanced Providers will visit patients within their home setting and conjunction with physicians who will be available virtually.
- We anticipate seeing 7300 patients annually.
