Job Description
A Fourth Year Chief Medical Resident position at our academic internal medicine program offers a unique opportunity for fourthyear residents to refine their clinical expertise and cultivate strong leadership skills within a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment.
Our program boasts a diverse patient population providing unparalleled exposure to the full spectrum of internal medicine. Residents gain invaluable experience in advanced clinical training leadership development and cuttingedge research.

The Fourth Year Chief Medical Resident (CMR4 plays a vital role in the success of our program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

CLINICAL DUTIES:
For one half of the academic year: Three weeks of inpatient wards at Renown Regional Medical Center (RRMC) along with one halfday per week at the University Health Plumas Street Clinic. For the other half of academic year: Three weeks of inpatient wards at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Sierra Nevada Hospital (which may comprise up to two weeks of night shifts) along with one halfday per week at the VA Primary Care Clinics.

Required Qualifications
M.D. D.O. or equivalent degree.
Must have completedanACGMEapprovedInternal Medicine Residency Program prior to the start date and have active boardeligibility or boardcertification in Internal Medicine.
Applicants for this position will demonstrate excellence in patient care and strong teaching skills.
Must be eligible for unrestricted Nevada medical license DEA Certification for prescribing and malpractice insurance coverage.
Must meet any further credentialing requirements of the affiliate sites.
Must be prepared to start July 1 2025. If accepted for the position and if possible will coordinate with your current program to allow you to complete a chief elective rotation at the conclusion of theacademic year
