Medicine-GastroenterologyJob Duties:
Perform quantitative bioassays such as ELISA and Luminex-based multiplex assays using various biological samples including rodent and human plasma serum nasal fluid and cell culture media.
Prepare data summaries for communication with investigators.
Perform basic mouse husbandry including colony management setting up and maintaining breeding cages tagging and genotyping pups and maintaining accurate records.
Assist with routine animal care and research procedures including tissue collection enzyme assays DNA isolation PCR and other analytical techniques.
Support administrative tasks related to research core operations animal research documentation and training of new investigators.
Participate in general lab maintenance and upkeep.

Type: Regular Compensation Statement: The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to education experience and training qualifications relative to the requirements of the position and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
