What will you be doing
The Wealth Advisor IIseeks to manage and grow thewealth management portfolio by providing exceptional service to both existing and potential members through the promotion and sale of mutual fundsand financial planning services. The Wealth Advisor II has extensive industry experience and provides financial planning and advice support on complex matters to other members of the Wealth Advisory team and the branch network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Seek to improve the financial healthofexisting and newmembers as well asselfsourcedclientsby providinga wide range ofholisticfinancial planningservicesand mutual fund solutions.
- Create and executeanannual business plan to achieve growth goals as outlinedon the Wealth Advisorscorecard.
- Identifyholisticmember needs/goals andrefer identified nonmutual fund sales and service opportunities to the appropriate Credit Union experts.
- Retain existing relationships by proactively servicing the assigned wealth portfolio including the guaranteed investment needs of mutual fund investors.
- Work in close collaboration with the consumer branch networkand externalcentreof influencesto establish trustedrelationships in order to foster a steady stream of referrals.
- Build the Credit Unions profile in the community as a professional provider of wealth management products services and expertise.
- Actively participate in meetings planning and training initiatives sharing information and ideas to build organizational achievement and success.
- Maintain thorough knowledge ofand adhere tocredit union policies and procedures on risk management confidentiality security and fraud prevention.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to Credential Asset Management policies and procedures as outlined in the CAM compliance manual.
What do you need
- Must hold a Financial Planning Designation (QAFP PFP CFP).
- Minimum5 yearsfinancial planning or investment advisoryexperience.
- Postsecondary diploma/degree ideally in Commerce or Business Administrationis preferred.
- Other wealth related designationsare considered an asset (.F.C. CIM)
- ValidInvestment Funds in Canada (IFC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC)(must be able tolicensein good standing)
- Superior knowledge of the Financial industry and products
- Comfortable with industry standard financial planning tools/software
- Attention to detailwith high degree ofaccuracy
- Ability to work in fastpaced environment and perform well under pressure
- Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
- Knowledge of Access Credit Unions products and services
- Abilityto follow standardized policies and procedures
- Knowledge of risk management within the financial industry
- Proficient computer skills
