Pay Rate: Specialized CBWS Hourly Rate $18.71/hour). This pay rate aligns with the pay scale for Northfield Public Schools and is subject to an annual wage increase.
IMPORTANT: STUDENTS MUST HAVE A STATE OR FEDERAL WORK AWARD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR COMMUNITY BASED WORK STUDY (CBWS) POSITIONS. Student CBWS work eligibility is subject to change due to work award redeterminations over the summer. This means even students who were a chosen applicant for the position may be ineligible to work if they do not have a state/federal work award come Fall 2025. Students who are unsure if they currently have a state or federal work award please contact before applying to find out what type of work award you have.
Description of the Position:
Kid Ventures is the Districts schoolage care program that operates before and after school at all three elementary schools. Kid Ventures site assistants assist the Site Leader in implementation of curriculum setup and supervision of activities. Hours can be before school 7:008:30 MTTHF 7:009:30 W) and/or after school 3:006:00 MF).
Transferable Skills:
The ability to engage youth in meaningful ageappropriate activities and conversations and the ability to work as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Site Leaders in implementation of curriculum plans setup and supervision of activities. Site Assistants will provide quality interactions that are age and developmentally appropriate.
Qualifications:
Experience working with children aged 512 is preferred. Must be able to go outside and help implement age appropriate activities.

This position is subject to a background check. Must have own transportation due to hours of the position. Must be available for at least two shifts a week.
