Originally built to meet the needs of Amazon Operations the Meridian Design System is now used by hundreds of teams in nearly every corner of Amazon.
Meridian supports 3 frameworks: React Web iOS and Android. Our end customers include: truckers navigating route parents managing content subscriptions Amazon employees booking meeting rooms customers picking up packages at kiosks and even Air Traffic Controllers overseeing a fleet of airplanes.
Over the past five years Meridian has evolved beyond a design system into an suite of tools with an active adopter community. We still follow the same recipe that helped us grow. We work as a dedicated agile team under a Single Threaded Owner. We focus on listening to the needs of our adopting customers providing highquality support and innovating through the close collaboration of design and development.
In this role youll be able to innovate deliver and influence. You should have a demonstrable track record of success delivering highquality design system solutions at scale. You should possess strong UX skills and a deep knowledge of standard web and mobile components and patterns.

Key job responsibilities
Develop evolve and champion all aspects of the Meridian Design System.
Contribute to the design and UX roadmap for Meridian.
Collaborate with design and development teams inside and outside of Operations that leverage Meridian for their efforts.
Present design solutions and gracefully defend your design decisions to the team and partners.
Communicate clearly with both internal and external customers.
Provide design support to teams using or looking to adopt the design system.
About the team
Known for their deep design system knowledge and love of board games the Meridian team includes 5 designers 6 developers a program manager and 8 dogs. The majority of the team is based in Bellevue WA and three of our team members are based in Minneapolis MN.
3 years of design experience
3 years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience
Have an available online portfolio
2 years of massmarket consumer web / mobile products experience
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
