ABOUT THE ROLE
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: 28429.44 in the first year (raising to 29568.24 from year two)

Main purpose of the role:
We are seeking a passionate Team/House Leader to provide daytoday line management to Support Workers and a Depute House Leader supporting and mentoring them to take ownership and reach their full potential.
As a Team/House Leader you will:
- Plan and organise the safe delivery of all support and care for core members by the team of Support Workers providing the supported living and/or care at home service while ensuring appropriate recording of incidents near misses accidents and medication and core members finances are administered in accordance with LArche policies and procedures.
- Ensure person centred support is delivered in way to promote independence social engagement and wellbeing (including spiritual needs where applicable).
- Undertake regular team meetings supervision probation and appraisal meetings and also participation in recruitment shortlisting interviews and induction of new Support Workers.
- Liaise with the Registered Manager in actions to resolve more serious issues and to deliver improvements.
Person Centred Support
You will:
- Provide highquality support to people with learning disabilities in line with LArche values policies and procedures.
- Provide supportive and enabling leadership modelling best practice and in line with the Health and Social Care Standards and SSSC Code of Practice.
- Develop and maintain a positive culture to ensure that core members are empowered to make choices and take control over their lives balancing the individuals right to make choices and take reasonable risks and their need to maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle.
Support of people with learning disabilities
You will:
- Build respectful and professional relationships with the people being supported.
- Ensure core members needs wishes and outcomes as described in their Support Plans are achieved through ensuring that high quality personcentred support is provided at all times and that these plans are reviewed updated in accordance with policy and external standards.
- Support people with their personal and intimate care as required. This includes bathing showering dressing and assistance.
Building an atmosphere of mutual relationships
You will:
- Foster positive relationships with both assistants and people with a learning disability;
- Model positive ways of supporting people to team members and members of the public whom the person comes into contact with and promote a culture of respect and dignity at all times
- Develop and sustain effective relationships with families Welfare and Financial Guardians family members and other important people in the core members life and ensure they are kept aware of relevant issues
General
You will:
- Work alongside others help sustain and develop LArche Highlands identity as an open Community of people with and without learning disabilities
- Lead on Assistant recruitment for the House and independent living services and ensure all new assistants are inducted into the team with knowledge of all polices and support plans
