Looking for a rewarding role with a flexible schedule The Wyoming Department of Health is hiring aWIC Clinic SupervisorinRawlins WY with satellite locations inHanna and Saratoga. Thisparttime (up to 24 hours/week) positionallows you to balance work with your personal commitments while making a real difference in the lives of women infants and children.
In this role youlllead WIC program services provide essential nutrition and breastfeeding support and ensure families receive the resources they needall while enjoying the flexibility of a parttime schedule.
Human Resource Contact:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.Support families by conducting WIC participant certifications including health and nutrition assessments breastfeeding education and health referrals.
Prescribe and issue supplemental nutritious food packages to eligible participants.
Oversee WIC clinic operations ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Lead community outreach efforts to connect with families who could benefit from WIC services.
Ensure highquality service delivery by supervising staff managing budgets and implementing program improvements.
Serve as a liaison between field offices the Regional Nutrition Supervisor and the State WIC Agency.
Provide training and education for both providers and participants to promote best practices in nutrition and breastfeeding support.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Nutrition Nursing Public Health Nutrition or healthrelated areas.
KNOWLEDGE:Understanding of maternal and child health nutrition and breastfeeding support.
Experience in program management community outreach and customer service.
Strong leadership skills to supervise and motivate employees.
Knowledge of grant administration marketing and social outreach strategies.
Ability to ensure compliance with Wyoming state statutes and federal regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelors Degree (typically in Healthcare)Experience:02 years of progressive work experience (typically in Health Programs)OREducation & ExperienceSubstitution:35 years of progressive work experience (typically in Health Programs)Certificates Licenses Registrations:NoneNecessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:- Travel required
- FLSA: NonExempt
- The Wyoming Department of Health is an EVerify Employer.
- Parttime benefited position working 24 hours per week.
- A background check including the taking of fingerprints will be completed through the
Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation the Department of Family Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
