About the Role

Develop and manage digital products for ABC News Australias most trusted news source. Help build new product experiences to best showcase the ABCs powerful journalism and connect millions of people to stories that matter to them.

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive and oversee the digital product development implementation and continual review of the ABC News web and mobile products (iOS and Android) to achieve a worldclass digital experience for audiences.
  • Drive and develop effective innovative and measurable ABC audience engagement strategies to achieve objectives that will engage retain and build new audiences.
  • Lead daytoday product management for news website & app features
  • Establish objectives undertake complex data analysis and provide sound recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders to inform decision making on roadmap development.
  • Actively gain a deep understanding of audience experience to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow audience reach improve audience experience and drive digital growth.
  • Develop and communicate relevant success metrics and objectives to assess the effectiveness and performance of the products. Track and act on product performance based on analytics and user feedback.
  • Lead and manage a crossfunctional product team driving a highperformance culture to contribute to the achievement of P&T objectives.
  • Cultivate and foster a culture of creativity that drives staff to continually seek new innovative ways to deliver content and reach audiences.

About You

  • Proven experience in developing and managing digital products or journalismrelated audience projects from launch to lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing mentoring and leading teams to achieve high performance and positive workplace culture.
  • Demonstrated significant experience in managing workflows budgets and timeframes across multiple projects.
  • Demonstrate highly advanced knowledge of and keep up to date with competitive trends in digital audience engagement; and share these insights with colleagues and key stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and influence the achievement of shared objectives.
  • Highly developed analytical and problemsolving skills with an aptitude for creative and strategic thinking to inspire innovation.
  • Highly developed skills to drive the development and implementation of new product initiatives to increase product performance and achieve business objectives.
