GENERAL SUMMARY:
Supervises and coordinates electrical activities engaged in construction maintenance and repair of electric power lighting and communication systems of plant buildings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors generators switches circuit breakers and fuse boxes.
- Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Interprets specifications blueprints and job orders.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of plant.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists workers in solving work problems.
- Safely operate all equipment and tools. Adhere to safety rules and report safety problems.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- In conjunction with EHS team assess and maintain electrical safety programs.
- Sets up machines and equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must possess a state supervisor level electrical license (Limited Supervising Electrician License or higher)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions safety rules and procedural manuals.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral or diagram.
- Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent. State supervisor level electrical license (Limited Supervising Electrician License or higher) with 4 related experience required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in an environment with exposure to noise dust chemicals and temperature extremes. Ability to stand bend crouch climb and use hands to perform daily job functions. Ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force to lift and move objects.

- Job duties may include limited management of hazardous waste generated in the chemical mill process including closing weighing and transferring hazardous waste containers to the facilitys hazardous waste storage location. Comprehensive hazardous waste training will be required annually for those chemical mill operators engaged in hazardous waste management activities.
- Must possess a state supervisor level electrical license.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions safety rules and procedural manuals.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.

Incumbent must be able to read technical instructions and write. Lift and/or maneuver objects weighing up to 35 pounds.
Ability to work with hand and power tools. Must be able to read instructions and write climb stairs stoop crawl and reach to perform daily job functions. Must be able to grasp and feel. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
