About the Role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Assistant Project Officer to work as part of the Invasive Species Standards and Metrics team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment flora fauna and aboriginal heritage.
The Assistant Project Officer is responsible for undertaking diverse project research analysis reporting implementation and related administrative tasks to support the development and delivery of training/certification and regulatory compliance associated with invasive species management.
About You
As an Assistant Project Officer you are adept at providing project and operational support including monitoring and reporting on project plans milestones and deliverables to ensure time cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans. You will support audits of firearms and pesticide management and the coordination of training.
You will provide administrative support to crossagency firearms and pesticide working groups and prepare relevant information for staff supporting communications relating to firearms and pesticide management and training across NPWS through intranet and web page content.
Essential Requirements
Experience in the provision of administrative and support services
Experience in development and delivery of programs and projects
Understanding of contemporary project management principles and practices.
