Job Description

The RGC team is recruiting for a Contracts Officer to manage the review and negotiation of research agreements as well as resolving complex contract matters.

The Opportunity

  • Support worldclass research at Australias number one university for impact!
  • Work across all university faculties and divisions to develop breadth of knowledge
  • Earn between $110K $119K 17 super leave loading 1year fixed term contract
  • Worklife balance: currently trialling a 9day fortnight for interested team members

About Research Grants and Contracts (RGC)

RGC plays a crucial role in UNSWs research performance and supports UNSW researchers in the development preparation and submission of research grant applications. The RGC oversees negotiation and administration of research awards contracts and consulting research. The RGC is the key link between UNSWs researchers executive and funding agencies such as the NHMRC ARC philanthropic grant funders and industry partners. The RGC teams are a crucial component in the universitys ongoing strategy to increase knowledge exchange and towards meeting the S25 aims.

Your Role:

As Contracts Officer you will work with researchers and support staff from across the university in the contract negotiation process. Including drafting reviewing negotiating and executing agreements.

What Youll Do:

  • Deliver highquality customer services in competitive grant and tender applications.
  • Cultivate and navigate relationships across the University.
  • Develop your understanding of Australian higher education and international research funding landscapes.
  • Work under pressure in a highvolume grant environment.
  • Uphold values and workplace safety.
