Engineer Cybersecurity III

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Dam Neck Activitys (DNA) work is focused on providing engineering acquisition logistical and Cybersecurity (CS) support to the Navy Marine Corps Special Warfare Coalition and Joint Forces for programs including but not limited to Common Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) Atlanta Weapon System (AtWS) NAVSEA Red Team National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) surface and sub training systems and Risk Management Framework (RMF) Support for Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD).

With the growing number of breaches of tactical and nontactical computer systems there is an increasing need to focus on the engineering aspects of CS. CS continues to be approached as compliancebased and this has not addressed significant shortcomings and vulnerabilities in the security of naval warfare systems and other service warfare systems. CS requirements must be included during the design development and sustainment phases of systems acquisition to ensure they are secure and Cyberresilient throughout their LifeCycle. Additionally previously designed and fielded systems must be evaluated on an engineering basis to determine potential changes to their design or supportability approaches.

Each have a requirement for CS engineering services that includes requirements for: analysis secure design Test and Evaluation (T&E) systems analysis and assessment and LifeCycle management.

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON AWARD

#LILL1

• Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
• Minimum IAT Level III.
• Must currently possess a DoD Secret Level clearance
• A combined total of Ten 10 years of fulltime professional experience in all of the following functional areas:
  • Computer security military system specifications and DoD cybersecurity policies;
  • National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) Program requirements and mission ship install requirements and protocols;
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the implementation of Cybersecurity and IA boundary defense techniques and various IAenabled appliances. Examples of these appliances and applications are Firewalls Intrusion Detection System (IDS) Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) Switch/Routers Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) EMASS and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS);
  • Performing STIG implementation;
  • Performing vulnerability assessments with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution tool;
  • Remediating vulnerability findings to include implementing vendor patches on both Linux and Windows Operating systems

• Will have 10 years experience analyzing log data performing traffic analysis executing audits performing digital footprint and risk intelligence analysis and possess the expertise to rectify any uncovered vulnerabilities.
• DoD Top Secret security clearance is highly preferred
• MS and 8 years of experience as a professional Engineer
• One or more of the following cyber certifications:
  • OSCP
  • GIAC GSOC
  • CompTIA CySA
  • CISSP from ISC2

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL

• 5075 OCONUS travel may be required
