Position Summary
Department: School of Graduate and Professional Studies
Reports To: Department Chair
Time Commitment: Ongoing (as needed)
Start Date: Summer Fall and Spring Semesters Available
Fresno Pacific Universitys growing nursing program invites applications for a nursing educator to join a visionary team. The School of Graduate and Professional Studies seeks applications for adjunct faculty to instruct an undergraduate pharmacology course in a BSN program. Nursing faculty will join a talented team of faculty and university leadership to expand innovative and Christcentered service to those who are underserved.
Essential Functions
Role:
- Teach a course in pharmacology for nurses in a prelicensure BSN program
- Discuss class progress with the program coordinator
- Collaborate with other faculty as needed
- Demonstrate a commitment to serving and inspiring students in an academic context that integrates your Christian faith and learning.

Qualifications
BSN Program Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Nursing or other nursing related graduate level degree
- Minimum one 1 year related experience
- One 1 academic year of registered nurse level teaching experience
- Active and unencumbered California RN license
Additional Requirements:
- Coursework or expertise related to pharmacology for nurses
- Experience in or aptitude for collegiatelevel teaching
- Ability to work with students staff and faculty in a collegial environment
- Commitment to the Christian faith and the Universitys mission of Christcentered teaching and learning and involvement in a local church
- Ability to learn and navigate technology course management systems and virtual learning environments
Environmental Conditions:
- Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise dust fumes vibrations and temperature changes at least eighty percent 80 of the time.
- Frequent computer use at a workstation up to eight hours per day.
- Public contact position requiring professional apparel personal hygiene and grooming.
Physical Demands:
- This position typically functions indoors in an office environment with light to moderate noise associated with business office equipment.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: operate a computer and keyboard and other office productivity machinery such as calculators/copy machines/printers. The employee is occasionally required to position self to reach items on the floor and in high cabinetry.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Employee must be able to communicate with others to exchange information including both over the telephone and electronically with callers and community members and be able to read a computer screen and paper documents.

Compensation is based on highest completed degree level:
Masters degree: Anticipated pay per unit $811.51 $23.97 per hour
Terminal degree: Anticipated pay per unit $977.98 $28.82 per hour
