We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Data Engineer in Toronto ON(Onsite).
Responsibilities:
Understand product owner requirements and translate them into clear scope documents.
Evaluate and select the best technologies and services for the project.
Assist in test case creation and support testing.
Coordinate with upstream downstream and other teams for smooth production implementation and provide postproduction support.
Facilitate data onboarding analyze existing Netezza and Hadoop code and design optimal AWS Data Lake implementations.
Conduct unit testing assist with QA SIT and performance testing and manage migration to production.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in creating technical design documents and mentoring teams to ensure solution accuracy.
Expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using Hadoop services such as Spark Spark Streaming and Hive.
Experience in developing data engineering frameworks in Spark on AWS Data Lake.
Knowledge of design patterns and software development best practices.
