This position part of the Implementation and Operations Section (IOS) reports to the Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO) and serves as the IT leader for the brown portfolio. It oversees IT implementation operations maintenance project management and infrastructure for all 13 facilities under the Division of State Operated Health Facilities (DSOHF). The DSOHF has transitioned from paper to an Epicbased electronic health record (EHR) system and thirdparty applications supporting 10000 employees 2000 daily patients/residents and over 2500 clinicians.
The IT Director manages the Epic implementation team thirdparty applications and infrastructure during and after Epic deployment. Responsibilities extend to overseeing nonEHR platforms IT budgets integrated system utilization and ensuring operational readiness adoption and success of Epic and related systems. This role also facilitates employee cultural change through advisory committees and collaborates closely with DSOHF leadership clinical staff and HR.
Leading a team of 110 the IT Director has seven direct reports: Clinical Applications Manager Revenue Applications Manager Laboratory & Ancillary Applications Manager Infrastructure Director Project Portfolio Manager Change Control Lead and Application Architect. The role requires engagement with highranking stakeholders and ensures compliance with IT policies and standards.
Manage crossteam relationships risk analysis and project deliverables.
Oversee EHR program budgets contracts and compliance.
Lead executive steering committees and facilitate program status reporting.
Champion Epics methodology workflow optimization and change management.
Cultivate an empathetic serviceoriented leadership approach.
Handle conflicts and challenging situations with diplomacy.
Support staff development through training and certification and ensure resources are shared .
Manage hiring retention and performance of employees contractors and temporary staff.

Bachelors degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and six years of progressive experience in the field of information technology which includes at least three years of managerial experience.

Associates degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and seven years of progressive experience in the field of information technology which includes at least three years managerial experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
