Operations Analyst - Full-Time Summer 2025 Start

*This is a Boston based opportunity with a 4 day in office expectation

Who We Are:

Wayfairs Operations organization is revolutionizing the customer experience through the development of a proprietary logistics network and optimization platform that manages inventory from overseas factories to customers front door. This team works directly with suppliers vendors and customers to provide new levels of efficiency and performance. They also interact internally with Product Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to generate the core analytical insights that enable Wayfair to tackle transportation warehousing and delivery challenges. As an Analyst youll develop and execute strategies that generate competitive advantage for Wayfair and the results of your findings will improve the daytoday efficiency of a complex and sophisticated global supply chain.

What Youll Do:

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Leverage data to deep dive metrics determine root causes and propose solutions
• Collaboration: Partner with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders to bring solutions to life and drive continuous improvement
• ProblemSolving: Tackle ambiguous challenges by leveraging your analytical skills to generate actionable solutions that deliver measurable improvements
• Technology Utilization: Use advanced analytical tools and techniques (Excel SQL R Python) to build datadriven insights and recommend improvements to business processes and outcomes

What Youll Need:

Basic Qualifications:

• Current Senior student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (eg. supply chain operations business analytics) with a 3.0 GPA minimum
• You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong consultative skills: ability to work effectively and persuasively with a highly crossfunctional group of business partners
• Strong business acumen: ability to understand how various parts of the business interact; can identify and approach problems from a customer or supplier perspective
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills: excited about working with and synthesizing big data into actionable insights; comfortable using data software to conduct analyses and synthesize findings
• Exceptional problemsolving and skills: ability to make decisions reprioritize tasks and draw conclusions in the face of ambiguity
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with any programming language is a plus including motivation to learn and develop the skillset (Google BigQuery/SQL R Python)

Possible Team Placements Include:

• Planning & Analytics: Wayfairs Planning & Analytics team consists of 5 interrelated teams: Forecasting & Replenishment Analytics Network Management Operations Analytics Operations Performance Management/Global Analytics Tech and Operations Research (OR). Together these teams deliver insights and support capability development that cuts across the other functional areas and helps us make better decisions across various time horizons and drive overall network performance/network outcomes. This includes for example: (a) driving operational planning and coordination across all functional areas for our ordertodelivery chain (b) shaping longterm strategy and network design (c) providing the single source of truth for performance across Operations and (d) applying advanced optimization techniques to enable automated yet highquality operational decisions at scale.
• Global Supply Chain: Wayfairs Global Supply Chain (GSC) team is a network of interconnected global departments that support the journey of a product once an order is placed. This includes teams that manage all aspects of the Transportation & Delivery function teams that support the frontline operations and teams that manage and monetize Returns & Incidents. The objective of the GSC team is to get orders to customers homes quickly reliably and conveniently while enhancing the customer experience by preventing and reducing product defects. As a part of the GSC team you will have an important role in accomplishing our mission: delivering costefficient perfect orders at scale.
• Global Service: The Global Service teams are responsible for setting the standards on how we deliver an excellent experience to our customers. We identify customer channel disconnects drive improvements for a smooth and frictionless customer experience recommend technology solutions and train our frontline agents.

Wayfairs InOffice Policy:

All Bostonbased corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday and work remotely Friday.
