Lecturer in Digital Film and Television
The University of Florida Department of Media Production Management and Technology at the University of Floridas College of Journalism and Communications invites applications for a 9 or12 month lecturer position in Digital Film and Television Production.
Description of the job position:
The Department of Media Production Management and Technology (MPMT) at the University of Floridas College of Journalism and Communications invites applications for a 9 or 12 month lecturer position in digital film and television production starting August 2025.
We are seeking a creative curious storyteller who is an expert in screenwriting and digital film and video production is committed to teaching and will thrive in a collaborative working environment. Primary responsibilities include teaching and overseeing the Fiction/Nonfiction Screenwriting class and teaching various classes in the Digital Film and Television Production sequence such as Directing Editing Producing Cinematography and so on.
Applicants are expected to have a strong understanding of the entire film/television production process from writing a script to editing and sound design. Their portfolio should include films and videos that they worked on in abovetheline positions or evidence of similar experience.

About the Department of Media Production Management and Technology
Our curriculum prepares students for the media industry through three specializations: Digital Film and Video Production Management and Strategy and Media and Society. The department has 17 fulltime facultyand about 500 majors abouthalf of whom are in the Digital Film and Television Production track.

Commensurate with experience and education
A masters degree in Communications or a productionrelated discipline and three years of industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
