SEJ Services is seeking an Operations Assistant to join the team in Knoxville TN area. The successful candidate will oversee all branch operations. The ideal candidate will have service industry management experience strong attention to detail and superior managerial skills. The candidate must also have excellent organizational proactive communication problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
This position is required to maintain the scope of work as contracted by the customer. As such this position may need to perform physical tasks or fillin for all laborers who call out of work. This may include bending lifting walking stocking supplies and performing various facilities maintenance tasks depending on the contracted scope of work at your assigned site(s). Operations management experience is REQUIRED.
The position reports to the Branch Manager and offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
Operations Assistant Job Summary and Duties:
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; training planning monitoring and appraising job results; coaching counseling and disciplining employees; developing coordinating and enforcing systems policies procedures and productivity standards.
Accomplishes financial objectives by monitoring labor hours and supply inventories.
Conducts facility walkthroughs to inspect the quality of work and safety compliance. All issues will be discussed with the janitorial crew and managed through the online work order system.
Meets with customers to discuss issues and foster a positive relationship by having a strong customer service mentality.
Responds to ALL calls for assigned accounts at all times (this includes nights and weekends if necessary).
Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; being proactive in identifying and preventing potential problems; recommending operational improvements.
Assist with all hiring training coaching and counseling of employees and provide timely feedback to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Oversee the training and development of branch staff; helping staff take responsibility for and have autonomy in decisionmaking and creative problemsolving
Vacuuming restroom cleaning window cleaning dusting trash disposal emergency requests and many other miscellaneous cleaning duties.
Standing Walking and Bending will be required for all job duties for the entire shift.
Must be hardworking reliable customer serviceoriented friendly professional and a team player.
Badges: badges and lanyards will be provided by security; Badges should be tucked away when in production areas

PM hours 5:00pm2:00am) flexible
Compensation and Benefits:
$17/hr. Experience in the janitorial industry is not required but a major plus.
401K: SEJ Services does a Safe Harbor match of 100 of your plan contributions up to 4 of compensation.
