The Position

In Roches Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development organization (pRED) we make transformative medicines for patients in order to tackle some of the worlds toughest unmet healthcare needs. At pRED we are united by our mission to transform science into medicines. This position is located in Preclinical Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls (pCMC) a department within the small molecule research organization in pRED Therapeutic Modalities where we pave in a diverse ambitious and innovative environment the path to bring drug candidates from early research into development.

The Opportunity:

  • Discovery of new techniques for the synthesis of complex oligonucleotides or peptides.

  • Purification and analysis of reactions involving oligonucleotides or peptides with innovative chromatographic techniques.

  • Scale up your findings into processes for the preparation of multigram quantities of desired target materials.

Who you are:

  • An enthusiastic motivated and scientifically interested person who enjoys teamwork and has a strong willingness to learn new techniques.

  • Preferably a chemistry / biochemistry student with prior lab experience.

  • Prior experience with solid phase synthesis conjugation purification and analysis of oligonucleotides or peptides is desirable.

  • Excellent organizational skills and proactive knowledge sharing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Please note that this internship is not suitable for a thesis.
