Job Description

Bowling Green Brandywine an adult residential drug and alcohol recovery center located in Kennett Square PA has an immediate opening for a Clinical Tech Manager

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director the Clinical Tech Manager is responsible for the monitoring of all patients and the supervision of all direct care staff on all shifts. The Clinical Tech Manager is responsible for providing support to the Clinical Staff as needed to ensure that a safe and therapeutic environment is maintained. The Clinical Tech Supervisor assumes responsibility in coordination with the Program Director for the scheduling of Direct Care Staff. Clinical Tech Supervisor is also responsible for risk management duties and house management duties as assigned. Hours may vary some weekends and holidays required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate the work and activities of assigned staff including setting performance expectations in the daytoday operations of the shift or unit.
  • Monitor performance and provide feedback coaching mentoring and training for staff.
  • Respond to and manage emergencies.
  • Provide staff management to including hiring development training performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
  • Maintain communication and relationships between medical staff other department staff and leadership team by attending meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning in support of the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Perform daytoday operational and administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Conduct and administer fiscal operations including planning budgets authorizing expenditures and coordinating financial reporting.
  • Prepare activity reports to inform management of the status and implementation plans of programs services and quality initiatives.
  • May as determined by staffing or census needs assist patient with their daily living activities administer basic health care or treatments participate in therapeutic or recreational group activities.
  • Oversee admitting and discharging of patient.
  • Monitor physical and emotional wellbeing of patient and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to appropriate staff. Prepare and maintain records of progress and services performed.
  • Lead or colead individual or group sessions as part of specific recreational or therapeutic procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff in working with the population of the facility to treat rehabilitate and return patient to the community.
  • Coordinate events and activities of others scheduling programs and activities as needed.
  • Provide transportation for patient as needed. May include driving of facility motor vehicle or coordinating transportation with appropriate staff member.
  • Demonstrate a positive empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors degree in human service field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Must have served in the role of Patient Support for the facility for one or more years with an additional two or more years of experience in a customer support/service role preferably in the health or human services field.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • CPR and deescalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.
  • May require a valid state drivers in facilities where transporting patient is an essential function.
