Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Family Support Coordination supports the agency by serving as the midlevel manager in the Family Support Coordination are tasked with serving as a leader and mentor to their team offering support when needed for all issues including performance evaluations quality reviews hiring new staff and ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards the program is subject to. They assist the Director of Family Support Coordination in driving and aligning the departmental goals with agency goals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Directly supervises our team of Family Support Coordinators andprovides annual writtenperformance evaluations
  • Ensures timely submission of reports (monthly annually and/or progress) to department Director and Compliance
  • Ensures all family support coordinators meet the standards for providing meaningful functional and appropriate support for all designated participants and their families.
  • Consistently reviews the program and its functionality for compliance with LDH CMS and all regulatory guidelines
  • Works with and has strong familiarity with the Louisiana EarlySteps program
  • Assists in recommending and interviewing prospective employees
  • Assists department Director when appropriate in the development of departmental policy and goals
  • Conduct monthly quality reviews of family support coordinators assigned cases
  • Helps in leading the Louisiana EarlySteps services offered by ArcGNO
  • Assist in reviewing the quality of services rendered
  • Assures staff receives ongoing training as it relates to their professional development and licensing standards
  • Regularly mentors all family support coordinators regarding advocacy and family support
  • Reviews/approves time sheets of all family support coordinators
  • Regularly communicates with local governing entities and support coordination agencies
  • Assist in ensuring all FSC procedures are in alignment with best practices and regulatory updates
  • Develops and maintains relationships with community organizations on behalf of ArcGNO
  • Travel to various sites and meetings as needed/required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in social work education counseling psychology or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • 2 years of prior experience supervising a small to mediumsized team 510 individuals) required
  • Prior experience with the Louisiana EarlySteps programs required; 2 years preferred
  • Expereiecne working with LDH and CMS regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to take the initiative in leadership situations
  • Possesses a general level of creativity that translates into their work
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite products including Excel Word SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • Protects confidentiality of program participants parents/advocates staff and departmental business affairs
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and the ability to pass an MVR check
