Job Description
We are looking for an experienced ITS/Smart Mobility Project Manager to lead and manage the full lifecycle of transportation infrastructure and smart mobility projects. You will oversee technical delivery guide crossfunctional teams support business development and ensure that project scope schedule and budget are met. Projects may range from $30000 to over $1 million in engineering fees.
Key Responsibilities
Lead systems engineering documentation (e.g. Concepts of Operation Test Plans).
Deliver ITS/TSMO solutions: traffic signal systems tolling transit priority systems SCADA and more.
Manage subconsultants budgets schedules and client communications.
Conduct QA/QC invoice tracking proposal support and staff mentoring.
Engage in handson planning design and procurement of intelligent traffic systems.
Requirements
MustHave Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an ABETaccredited engineering program.
Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain reciprocity in other states.
10 years of experience in ITS or Smart Mobility.
Clientfacing experience with county state MPO and/or Federal agencies.
Experience with standard task order and designbuild contracts.
Strong background in planning systems engineering and procurement of advanced traffic systems.
Knowledge of MUTCD NEMA NTCIP SAE and IEEE standards related to traffic/V2X communications.
Proficient in MicroStation AutoCAD ProjectWise Bluebeam and Microsoft Project.

Experience with standard design contracts, task order contracts, design-build contracts Experience in planning, systems engineering, design and procurement of traffic management systems, including traffic signal control systems, freeway management systems, toll operations and collection systems, transit signal priority systems, traveler information systems, and tunnel and bridge operations and SCADA systems Experience in use of the MUTCD, as well as NEMA and NTCIP standards for traffic management and information, and SAE and IEEE standards as used for V2X communications Experience using Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar products for plan preparation and review Experience using ProjectWise and Bluebeam for project and document management Experience using Microsoft Project for project scheduling and tracking NICE TO HAVE: Project management and business development experience Presentation experience to clients and public Familiarity with the U.S. National ITS Architecture (ARC-IT) and related development tools (e.g., RAD-IT and SET-IT) Familiarity with different types of off-the-shelf software for Traffic Systems Management and Operations (TSMO), ranging from signal systems (including adaptive systems) to freeway management systems, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications supporting these software tools Familiarity with various system deployment options including cloud-based software-as-a-service architectures as well as a hybrid of physical systems and cloud-based systems as appropriate Project Management Professional (PMP) certification INCOSE systems engineering certification History of constructive engagement in organizations such as state ITS America chapters, ITE, TRB committees, ASCE, ACEC and others ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Work is performed within a general office environment 95 of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
