Responsibilities
- Development and Maintenance: Design develop and maintain COBOL programs to support core banking operations.
- System Integration: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration of COBOL applications with modern systems.
- Optimization: Enhance the performance reliability and scalability of existing COBOLbased systems.
- Problem Solving: Analyze system issues troubleshoot errors and implement effective solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation to support ongoing development and system maintenance.
- Compliance and Standards: Adhere to industry standards company policies and regulatory requirements in all development activities.
Requirements
MustHaves
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in COBOL development within enterprise environments.
- Expertise in batch processing and transactionbased systems.
- Familiarity with mainframe environments such as IBM z/OS.
- Experience with JCL CICS and DB2 databases.
- Strong problemsolving and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
