20Summary:
The Program Specialist II works with children in our Psychiatric unit and is the primary caretaker for psychiatric patients ages PreK adolescents. The specialist assists patients with activities of daily living maintaining a safe environment and the management of harmful behaviors. This position also participates in crisis intervention teaching group process and oncall as needed.
PartTime position 20 hours per week / varying shifts
Required Education & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (Preferably in psychology child development social work or related field).
Experience working with atrisk youth preferred.
Education in Child growth and development courses required.
Prior experience working in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred.
BLS certification or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
CPI NonViolent Crisis Intervention Units 17 & 910 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
Note: Prior Cook employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college.
