Executive Project Manager
Location: Kansas City MO
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for managing transformative projects The NelsonAtkins Museum of Art is seeking an experienced Executive Project Manager to lead the success of our expansion and renovation project. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the regions most iconic cultural institutions.
Why This Role Matters
As the Executive Project Manager you will drive the projects success by overseeing key areas including executive and trustee stakeholders project teams and internal leadership will ensure the project remains on trackfinancially stable aligned with our strategic goals and delivered at the highest level of quality.
Youll be at the center of it all facilitating complex decisionmaking managing diverse stakeholder interests and guiding the project from concept to completion.
What Youll Do:
  1. Executive & Trustee Engagement Serve as the primary liaison with the Director/CEO Executive Leadership Board of Trusteesand key committees. Facilitate critical conversations align project goals and minimize risks.
  2. Project Team Leadership Oversee owners representatives consultants contractors and internal staff. Manage all project phasesfrom planning and design to operational launch.
  3. CrossDepartmental Collaboration Work closely with internal departments to align programmatic needs operational goals and business strategies with project objectives.
  4. Financial & Strategic Oversight Maintain the projects financial health manage budgets track timelines and ensure the project delivers value and aligns with institutional priorities.
  5. Conflict Resolution & ProblemSolving Align diverse interests resolve challenges and maintain a clear focus on project goals to deliver outstanding outcomes.
What Were Looking For:
  • Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Management or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Previous executive project management experience with10 years ofmanaging complex construction design or institutional projectspreferably in cultural nonprofit or museum sectors.
  • Proven expertise in budget and schedule management risk mitigation and highstakes decisionmaking.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience engaging executive teams and Boards.
  • Excellent communication problemsolving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project management expertise with a deep understanding of design construction processes and operational transitions.
