Compliance Monitoring and Assurance Manager S3 Compliance

This is a fantastic opportunity to dive straight into our Conduct and Compliance risk management framework. Youll use your expertise in assessing and reporting on Conduct and Compliance risk management behaviours and attitudes to help deliver the Compliance Monitoring and Assurance strategy across the UK.

Youll lead and report on riskbased assurance reviews that identify risk and control themes potential customer harms and associated root causes. Youll drive the corrective action required to mitigate the root cause of customer harms and enhance associated first line control frameworks.

The difference youll make:

  • Leading the planning and of compliance monitoring to assess the effectiveness of the banks systems and controls to deliver good customer outcomes and manage nonfinancial conduct and regulatory risks

  • Managing review teams ensuring full accountability for scoping testing and reporting considering FCA and other consumerfocused regulatory requirements

  • Recommending and overseeing the of appropriate and timely actions to enhance control frameworks and improve customer outcomes

  • Producing highquality reports which communicate findings risks and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation

  • Utilising effective stakeholder management and leadership including formal stakeholder engagement and management at all levels of the business

  • Supporting the development and ongoing maintenance of the riskbased Compliance Monitoring Plan and associated methodology

What youll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Proven ability to lead endtoend riskbased compliance reviews focusing on nonfinancial conduct and regulatory risks including planning testing and reporting

  • Indepth knowledge of conduct and regulatory risk assurance methodologies risk management frameworks and control environments across retail banking consumer credit investments as well as business and corporate banking

  • Excellent understanding of UK regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty FCA Handbook (including COBS MCOB ICOBS BCOBS PROD DISP) and other consumerfocused regulatory requirements

  • Welldeveloped analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to evaluate and communicate complex issues

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders

  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and influencing skills enabling effective collaboration across teams and functions at a senior level

  • A proactive detailoriented approach to work ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in assessments

  • Excellent project and time management skills effective at prioritising and leading others

What else you need to know:

This permanent role can be based in Glasgow or Milton Keynes.

We want our people to thrive at work and home and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this we offer sitebased contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (prorata for parttime roles).
