Major/Essential Duties of Job:
Compile and curate a database on invasive species and government and community organizations working on the issue of invasive species. Coordinate student research assistants to compile data.
50 Data collection: design and implement procedures to collecti information from data bases and online documents
15 Data management: metadata checking backup and repository
30 Data analysis and reports to sponsor stakeholders and professional audience suitable for peerreview and publication
5 other duties as required
Occasional Duties:
Inquiries for data from governmental and community organizations
Required Education and experience:
Bachelors degree in relevant field
Two years of related professional experience.
Preferred Education and experience:
Masters Degree
Quantitative analysis of social networks
Experience with statistical software (e.g. STATA R) and programming (e.g. Python)
Required special knowledge abilities and skills:
Good communication and computer skills
Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred special knowledge abilities and skills:
Experience with analyzing relational data sets using UCINet or equivalent programs. Experience with protocols for managing publicly available data.
