Your Impact
As Senior Finance Manager you be part of the finance team supporting the Hearst Autos group which includes Road & Track Car and Driver Bring a Trailer MotorTrend and Hot role will include financial planning monthend close reconciliations and reforecasts as well as headcount analysis. You will assist in providing analysis metrics and generating insights that support key initiatives and will serve as a business partner in a cross functional capacity with teams across Financial Analysis Advertising Marketing and Content. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problemsolving skills be wellorganized detailoriented and able to work independently and prioritize tasks. High competency of key computer programs including Excel and PowerPoint is a must. The ability to manage multiple tasks and stay on deadline are required in this role. The ideal candidate will be a selfstarter fast learner and motivated to go above and beyond what is expected. Senior Finance Manager must also be able to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities
What Youll Do
- Conduct indepth financial analysis of revenue streams audience metrics and cost drivers to identify areas for optimization
- Assist in the development and management of annual budgets
- Play a lead role in the month end process create journal entries and investigate P&L variances to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with Accounting team to ensure accuracy of data
- Maintain pacing reporting and models to inform potential changes for monthly reforecast of revenues and expense
- Distribute monthend financial summaries to management as well as relevant teams
- Meet regularly with operating teams to review latest results identify trends and provide financial expertise on projects
- Lead and assist with improvements to operational efficiencies and streamlining processes
- Address ad hoc financial analysis requests and inquiries
Qualifications
Who You Are
- Minimum 6 years of financial or business management experience preferably in media
- Advanced financial analytical and problemsolving skills
- Highly organized with strong ability to multitask and prioritize
- Exceptionalattention to detail with ability to work with accuracy and meet deadlines
- Must be highly collaborative and have strong interpersonal skills to positively communicate with all levels of staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Knowledge of Oracle Financials Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) and/or Smartview a plus
- Excellent communication skills; ability to distill financial data into clear and concise insights
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities effectively in a fast paced highly collaborative environment
- Experience in creating and/or implementing process improvements
The basesalaryfor this role is between $116000$ actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as: transferable skills work experience business needs and market demands. The base payrangeis subject to change and may be modified in the future.
