Job Description:

JRG Partners has been retained to fill the role of Vice President of Investment Banking for a global leader in asset valuation and maximization. The client provides M&A debt capital markets special situations/restructuring and related financial advisory services. Although we have expertise across a broad range of industries we have a particular focus on the diversified industrials consumer and retail and business services sectors.

Headquartered in metropolitan Chicago The Client is the leading international financial services company focused on Valuation Monetization and Advisory services. Across its 20 business units. They have completed billions of dollars of transactions for its diverse client base.

Position Overview

Vice Presidents of the company are an integral part of the team and will be involved at every stage of client matters from early business development activities through closing of engaged transactions. Our Vice Presidents also are actively involved in the recruiting and training of junior professionals. Candidates for this position should be dynamic highly motivated individuals with a strong workethic and should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in all tasks and to the growth of the firm as a leader in the middle market. This is a fulltime opportunity based in either in our New York City or Chicago office. Although we expect our professionals to work form our offices the majority of the time this position should be considered hybrid and we are flexible regarding work location.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review work product of junior investment banking professionals
  • Support Managing Directors and Directors in all aspects of firm marketing business development and deal
  • Significant role in communicating/meeting with clients and counterparties to transaction (and professional advisors)
  • Review and prepare transactionrelated documentation and marketing materials including confidential information memoranda pitch books teasers and management presentations
  • Prepare and review financial models and analyses
  • Significant role in initial client diligence and support for counterparties transaction diligence
  • Develop and implement a personal business development program to position you for longterm success
  • Significant role in recruiting training and mentoring junior professionals

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of transactionsrelated experience in a corporate finance environment from a Wall Street or middlemarket investment bank
  • Significant experience executing middlemarket M&A (primarily sellside) private financings and/or special situation transactions
  • Demonstrate extraordinary attention to detail
  • Superior organizational and time management skills and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fastpaced work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication listening problem solving interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Demonstrated maturity integrity and the ability to perform in an entrepreneurial environment both individually and as a team player
  • MBA from a toptier college or university preferred; Bachelors degree in business finance or accounting (or related prior work experience) required
  • Significant client interaction and experience
  • Strong financial modeling research and financial analysis skills
  • FINRA Series 7/79 and 63 licenses will be required
  • Ability to travel as needed
