Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Technician with SUE experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility investigations and mapping combined with a passion for accuracy and detail. This role involves working on exciting projects from infrastructure development to urban planning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct utility investigations using SUE methods (Levels AD).
- Operate and maintain surveying and utility detection equipment (GPR electromagnetic locators GNSS equipment etc..
- Collect detailed utility locations to create reports and deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D or GIS software.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Team leaders to ensure data accuracy and project success.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- This role requires extensive travel including the possibility of multiday deployments both within the state and across the country.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in land surveying and SUE practices.
- Proficiency in GNSS total stations and data processing software.
- Strong understanding of SUE standards (ASCE 3822 and utility mapping techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed.
- Good physical condition and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and various terrain.
