About the Opportunity

Join our vibrant team at the School of Health Sciences based in our stateoftheart brandnew Health Sciences building in Launceston. As part of the Allied Health Expansion program you will collaborate with government health professionals industry and local communities to enhance allied health education training and research in Tasmania.

We are looking to appoint two roles at the level of Lecturer Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Physiotheraphy. You will design and deliver core components of entrytopractice allied health courses ensuring highquality placebased learning experiences. Additionally you will support the development of professional courses and workintegrated learning experiences fostering evidencebased practitioners capable of interdisciplinary collaboration.

Lecturer in Physiotherapy:Youll advance the Universitys strategic objectives by coordinating and delivering innovative coursework that incorporates emerging technologies and simulationbased education. Your responsibilities include developing teaching materials assessing students facilitating enriching workintegrated learning experiences providing exceptional physiotherapy assessments and interventions and building productive relationships. Additionally you will support research initiatives aligned with the School and College strategic plans.

Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Physiotherapy:Youll play a pivotal role in achieving the Universitys strategic goals by leading unit coordination and delivering highquality coursework. You will enhance workintegrated learning offer superior physiotherapy assessments and cultivate valuable internal and external partnerships. Furthermore you will lead impactful research publish significant findings mentor research students and secure external funding consistently surpassing performance expectations.

Whats Required

  • Experience and demonstrated achievement in Universitylevel multidisciplinary learning and teaching with demonstrated experience of flexible learning and familiarity with innovative blended learning & teaching andragogy and digital technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating quality workintegrated learning (WIL) experience for students that has scaffolded connected and supported pedagogical experience.
  • Evidence of designing and implementing best practice assessment and student learning outcomes at unit or course level.
  • Evidence of interpersonal and organisational skills with a record of contributing to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline profession industry and the wider community.
  • Experience undertaking research in the field of allied health demonstrated by project management and/or a record of quality publications and/or presentations at conferences and translating evidence to practice and/or curriculum.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the professional development of self and activities supporting the allied health professions.
  • Record of impactful research that makes a worthwhile contribution to the field of allied health demonstrated by a record of quality publications presentations at conferences successful supervision of research higherdegree student supervision and translating evidence to practice and/or curriculum.

Qualifications and Licenses

Lecturer Academic Level B

  • Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (PBA) under the auspices of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA).
  • Completion of a Master or PhD degree in a relevant health discipline.
  • Clinical expertise with recency or currency in physiotherapy practice.

Senior Lecture/ Associate Professor Academic Level C or D

  • Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (PBA) under the auspices of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA).
  • Completion of a PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant health discipline.
  • Clinical expertise with recency or currency in physiotherapy practice.

Salary details

Appointment to these roles will be at Academic Level B/C/D and will have a total remuneration package of up to $ 203695 comprising base salary within the range of $110992 to $174098 plus 17 superannuation. Relocation support may be offered to the ideal candidate.
