NGA Geospatial Intelligence Analyst

Seeking a new career challenge Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a highly skilled Geospatial Intelligence Analyst (Geospatial Specialist II) to join our team on site at the National GeospatialIntelligence Agency (NGA) headquarters in Springfield Virginia.

The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the accuracy and consistency of geospatial data management developing and maintaining data standards and ensuring data is protected and compliant with agency regulations and standards. This role involves indepth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intraIntelligence Community (IC) boundaries focusing on geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) data.

The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst will review analytic products for cogent arguments tradecraft industry and agency standards and determine adequate support for conclusions. Analyst will routinely test and evaluate rigor of analytic content and clearly articulate key findings.

Responsibilities:

As an NGA Geospatial Intelligence Analyst (Geospatial Specialist II) at Woolpert you will be tasked with:

• GEIONT analysis and data governance:
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of GEOINT data
• Develop and maintain data management standards ensuring data is protected and compliant with office and agency regulations and standards
• Evaluate and improve analytic operations and knowledge management operations across organizational and intraIC boundaries and clearly articulate key findings
• Review analytic products for cogent arguments tradecraft industry and agency standards
• Routinely test accuracy and effectiveness of analytic content
• Security and compliance oversight:
• Ensure the application of appropriate security controls and conformance to policies standards legal and regulatory requirements
• Data quality and usability improvement:
• Continuously evaluate the current state of GEOINT analysis and data and implement methods to improve quality usability and availability
• Advocacy and training:
• Advocate for best practices in analysis and data management providing training and support to stakeholders that fosters a culture of excellence
• Work with customers and partners to qualify all metrics across analysis and data lifecycles
• Performance improvement and solution development:
• Identify analysis and datarelated performance improvements in the current architecture services workflows and related capabilities
• Document requirements provide missionfocused justification and develop or integrate solutions to enhance the baseline and deliver more effective operational support
• Mission focused and mission critical requirements determination:
• Conduct requirements determination to enable immediate and future analysis and data improvements necessary for effective operational support
• Ad hoc technical tasks:
• Conduct customer engagement training and support as needed
• Coordinate with analysts scientists and working groups to ensure data and analysis initiatives meet mission objectives
• Host organize and coordinate technical exchange meetings with customers mission partners analysts and data providers to ensure alignment and collaboration

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

• U.S. citizenship
• Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance
• Willingness to undergo a preemployment background check and drug screening
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education
• A combination of years of experience and professional certifications or trainings can be used in lieu of a degree

• Ten 10 or more years of relevant experience:
• At least five 5 years of experience in geospatial data management data governance or data stewardship roles
• Proficient in SQL with a foundational understanding of database technologies and the ability to analyze and profile data
• Strong understanding of data management principals data governance frameworks and data quality concepts
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and their impact on data management practices
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data landscapes identify data risks and define mitigation strategies
• Understanding of geospatial data metadata standards and implementation
• Extensive knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software and capabilities:
• Proficient in ESRI suite of tools geodatabase technologies and web capabilities
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills to maintain data governance artifacts and support audits and compliance requirements
• Detailoriented analytical and adept at problem solving to address datarelated issues and coordinate the implementation of data improvement initiatives
• Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders
• Ability to offer constructive feedback and problem solving as well as clear direction to support goals

Preferred Qualifications:

• ESRI Model Builder and/or Python/ArcPy experience
• GEOINT data and analysis experience
• Experience working on site at NGA preferably in a complex organizational environment
• Ability to work closely with customers providing training and support on data management best practices
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify performance improvements optimize data workflows and develop solutions
• Experience hosting and coordinating meetings with stakeholders and data providers
• Up to date on the latest industry trends and emerging best practices in GIS and GEOINT data management governance quality and stewardship
