Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading the development of new software solutions and services using cloud software development techniques. As a part of software cloud engineering team the role overlooks the implementation and management of cloudbased services including databases serverless computing identity and access management and analytics tools. The role monitors cloud resources for performance scalability availability and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
Plays a critical role in building of various opinionated cloud environments and platforms while aligning them with business and security strategies and requirements.
Leads the building of standards designs and automates the deployment of software in cloud environments.
Designs and develops solutions that protect and manage cloud native apps and data.
Assists in the creation of technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around cloud platforms.
Partners with DevOps to develop tooling and infrastructure for cloud development and cloud operations use cases with a focus on microservices deployment and distributed systems monitoring and fault analysis.
Evaluates new and emerging cloud and web technologies for incorporation into existing systems.
Considers maturity of new technology and change management of existing cloud infrastructure to make the best recommendations.
Works closely with stakeholders to provide status iterative releases and make design recommendations throughout the development.
Contributes innovative ideas and may lead large crossfunctional teams exercising independent judgment to solve unique and complex problems impacting the business.
Provides mentorship and guidance to lowerlevel employees thus ensuring the realization of operational and strategic plans.
Education & Experience Recommended
Fouryear or Graduate Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 15 years of work experience preferably in distributed & cloud computing software & cloud design programming languages agile development methodologies or a related field.
Preferred Certifications
AWS Microsoft Azure GCP CSA certified
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced knowledge with respect to distributed/cloud computing and knowledge in virtualization technologies cloud infrastructure cloud solutions systems/microservice architecture and design.
- Expertise in cloud computing and/or enterprise application development.
- Advanced skills in software design and development and a strong understanding of complex concepts related to computer architecture data structures and programming practices.
- Strong experience and preference for agile SW development methodologies and a DevOps approach to code deployment and maintenance.
- Highly motivated having hands on experience with Java SpringBoot Spring Cloud NodeJS Databases (PostgreSQL/ MongoDB/ MSSqlServer/Oracle)/RDS and developing RESTful APIs.
- Must have working knowledge with AWS cloud computing environment and experience using AWS services like AWS Lambda/ EKS / ECS / SNS/SQS/STEP Functions etc.
- Strong understanding of Microservices architectures with handson experience in developing designing and deploying Microservices solutions on Cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with event/message driven distributed system
- Strong critical thinkers with ability to independently make decisions in the context of program vision.
- Strong experience in software development systems engineering or software product design.
- Advanced technical knowledge of complex software systems including large scale enterprise middleware systems.
- Experienced in developing Enterprise class of products & solutions multitier onprem applications.
- Expert business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection
- Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages
- Strong Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions
- Experience designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate product architectures design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
- Sound knowledge of modern technologies and AI tools.
