Job Description
Why Ballys:
Ballys Corporation is a global casinoentertainment company with a growing omnichannel presence currently owning and managing 15 casinos across 10 states a golf course in New York a horse racetrack in Colorado and having access to OSB licenses in 18 states. The recent acquisition of Aspers Casino in Newcastle UK further expands its international footprint and enhances its diverse entertainment offerings. It also owns Ballys Interactive International formerly Gamesys Group a leading global interactive gaming operator Bally Bet a firstinclass sports betting platform and Bally Casino a growing iCasino platform.
With 10600 employees the Companys casino operations include approximately 15300 slot machines 580 table games and 3800 hotel rooms. Ballys also has rights to developable land in Las Vegas post the closure of the Tropicana.
Upon completion of the announced merger with The Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. (Queen) the above portfolio is expected to be supplemented with four additional casinos across three states one of which will be an additional state that expands Ballys jurisdiction of operations to include the state of Iowa. Queen will also add over 900 employees and operations that currently include approximately 2400 slot machines 50 table games and 150 hotel rooms to the Ballys portfolio. Ballys will also become the successor of Queens significant economic stake in a global lottery management and services business through its investment in Intralot S.A. (ATSE: INLOT).
The Role:
As a Beverage Server you will be serving beverages to customers on the casino floor in a friendly efficient and professional manner while ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
Responsibilities:
Foster an environment that embodies Ballys Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a funfilled entertaining atmosphere
Enthusiastically promote Ballys customercentric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building longlasting guest relations
Serving customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs initiating conversation offering assistance and advice and remembering that the customer is always right
Performing beverage setup running side work and closing duties
Possessing extensive knowledge of the restaurants menu and wine list including daily specials
Checking identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages
Checking identification to ensure customers are using players cards issued to them and no one else
Pushing in empty chairs at slot machines and table games areas of the casino floor
Computing customer checks operating the POS system and accepting payments
Reporting tips for each shift
Maintaining bar safety and sanitation standards
Possessing awareness of potential hazards which could cause but are not limited to slipping tripping falling or burns
Arriving for each shift on time and in full uniform
Attending all preshift meetings ready to listen and learn and share ideas
Avoid leaving work area during peak periods
Taking breaks only when approved by the Manager
Keeping a clean and professional appearance at all times
Assisting with cleanliness of the casino property Front and Heart of House
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must have one year or more related experience
Must have alcohol certification
Must have open work availability to work nights weekends and holidays

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to finger handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds
Frequently required to stoop crouch or kneel
Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor
The work environment contains bright lights loud noise and stressful situations.
