Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and renovations
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
- Coordinate with upper management to create and manage budgets for facility maintenance and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations building codes and workplace safety standards
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address hazards
- Respond to facilityrelated emergencies and resolve issues promptly
- Manage the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment
- Oversee the management of hazardous materials and waste disposal to ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintain documentation and reporting for safety compliance and inspections
- Ensure managers monitor and enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and other safety protocols
- Stay updated on safety laws and regulations ensuring that all practices align with current standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience:Proven experience in facility management industrial maintenance or a similar role required; experience with a focus on safety preferred
- Knowledge:Strong knowledge of facility management principles safety regulations and building codes
- Safety Knowledge:Basic Understanding of workplace safety protocols emergency response procedures and OSHA regulations
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints experience in high and low voltage systems HVAC systems and mechanical
- Excellent Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational Skills:Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely completion of all maintenance and safety activities
- ProblemSolving Skills:Ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
- Compliance:Knowledge of safety regulations building codes hazardous material management and emergency preparedness
- PreEmployment Requirements:Must pass a preemployment drug screen and background check
- Valid Drivers License:Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to stand walk and sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend kneel crouch and reach overhead as needed
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including extreme temperatures and weather
- Ability to use hand tools power tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to work on ladders or scaffolding and perform physical tasks that require agility and mobility
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations and handle potentially hazardous materials
