Job Description
Are you passionate about safety and ready to kickstart your career in the construction industry Join Seymour Whyte as a Safety Coordinator and embark on our structured Graduate Safety Program designed to shape your career. Through handson site experience expert mentoring and professional training youll become a safety champion and play a pivotal role in delivering safe and efficient projects.
What Youll Do:
- Proactively participate in structured training onsite coaching and practical work experience.
- Support Project Managers and Safety Managers in improving workplace health and safety.
- Assist in the development implementation and maintenance of safety systems and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections audits and risk assessments providing actionable feedback.
- Investigate incidents and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Stay current with legislation industry standards and innovative safety practices.
- Champion a transparent and positive safety culture leading by example.
About You:
- Passionate and energetic about safety with a proactive approach to mitigating risks.
- A team player with a positive collaborative mindset.
- Detailoriented with intermediate skills in data entry Microsoft Office and task organisation.
- A strong communicator capable of building rapport across all levels of the organisation.
- Holds a Certificate IV in OHS (or similar) and Construction Induction Training (White Card).
- Possesses a valid drivers licence and is open to travel between sites.
- Construction industry experience and a background in HSEQ are highly regarded.
