Position Overview
We seek three 3 postdoctoral researchers to engage in research activities and analysis implement evaluate and recommend adjustments to research procedures particularly focusing on rural development issues. They will be responsible for synthesizing and independently preparing results for publication. This role operates under general supervision while allowing for a significant degree of creativity and autonomy. Collaboration with project team members and PIs is required as well as the coordination and attendance of project meetings are required. Additionally the position may involve overseeing research operations and the daily activities of junior research personnel. Duties may include: Participating in planning and designing scientific studies or applications Planning and conducting research and analysis of scientific data Preparing graphic and narrative reports Interpreting test results and comparing them with determined standards and limits Performing site inspections and field oversight if field work is required Planning designing developing monitoring and evaluating a distinct portion of a scientific project study or application Researching designing implementing standardizing and evaluating new procedures Maintaining detailed records of results and preparing written reports acceptable to the Principal Investigator and funding agencies Other duties as assigned Note: The above job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change based on the evolving needs of the Western Rural Development Center. Required Experience
Two years of research experience beyond receipt of a Masters Degree related to the domain of this position
