Job Description

Join Canons dynamic IT Team as an IT Transformation Lead where youll drive the communication of IT transformation initiatives across EMEA.

Youllhave a particular focus on developing and implementing a comprehensive EMEA IT strategyworking with the IT leadership team to support the annual IT midterm plan process and its cascade.

Ideal candidates will have a background in strategic IT change management moving beyond pure communications to understand and develop IT strategy gaining buyin and transformingthe mindset of the IT population.

As an IT Transformation Lead you will:

  • Support content preparation and communication on behalf of the CIO and/or the IT Leadership team to ensure message is aligned and consistent with overall vision and strategy.
  • Be the primary contact for IT communication enquiries and IT communications advice and drive engagement with our strategic aims and progress.
  • Ensure messages from IT Leadership Team IT Service Desk IT local support teams are aligned to our IT strategic objectives
  • Proactively seek opportunities to advise on communications issues in coordination with Corporate Comms and HR teams.
  • Promote and disseminate IT materials such as key policies IT Strategy document via internal communications channels using Canons Microsoft Office 365 suite.
  • Align with Corporate Communications to develop and implement a communication cascade of Canons IT strategy to our EMEA IT colleagues and external IT suppliers.
  • Ensure feedback cycles back to the IT Leadership Team regularly to review strategy and KPIs are on track.
  • Liaise with communication roles in key programs to ensure overall alignment on key messages. Develop internal communications framework for projects and ensure that project managers are aware of the framework.
  • Manage & coordinate internal communications channels within IT such as Miru IT Organisation Page Connect IT community and SharePoint sites.
  • Identify and develop relationships across Canon to gather input into communications and strategic planning.
  • Alongside Corporate Communications & Unified Communications play a leading role in the continual development & improvement of Miru our digital workplace as a key internal communications tool.
  • Organisation of key IT events such as the annual IT Kick Off event Quarterly Townhalls & monthly IT Webinars.
  • Facilitate monthly IT leadership meetings managing the agenda with the CIO driving the continuous cycle of input for strategic topics and followup on actions.
  • Be a key part of the annual IT MidTerm Planning process in collaboration with key strategic area owners.

What we ask

As an IT Transformation Lead you will need:

  • To gain a deep understanding of the Canon IT functions goals and values understanding where adjustments to our strategy are needed defining clear measurement targets.
  • Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills with an ability to make clear storylines and key strategic messages come to life
  • Good interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Confidence to work and coach senior executives to define and explain communication techniques to them.
  • Creative ability to devise communication strategies using latest end user digital tools available at Canon.
  • An aptitude to understand technical concepts translating them into meaningful messages and content to appropriately defined stakeholders at all levels.
