As a Float Nurse (LPN) you will:
- Support at least two service lines.
- Provide additional and/or relief coverage as indicated by staff shortage or patient status in varying patient care areas.
- Provide professional patient care for assigned patient population.
- Collect patient data and participate in treatment planning.
- Administer medications and medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
- Document and report patient progress to treatment team.
Requires:
- Graduation from an accredited program of nursing and at least 2 years of inpatient nursing experience; experience in psychiatric nursing is preferred.
- Must possess current license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) in the State of Maryland (or must have license by time of hire).
- Work requires ability to physically intervene in medical and behavioral emergencies transport patients and lift patients.
- All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
What we need from you.
- Must hold current registered nurse (RN) licensure to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment and maintain licensure throughout the duration of employment.
- Candidates residing in a compact state may apply with a multistate license and must obtain a Maryland RN license within 60 days of relocation.
- Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting is preferred but not necessary.
