Job Description
Are you a Professional Electrical Engineer (Pr Eng) looking for an exciting opportunity Our client a leading engineering firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Cape Town.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design and oversee project implementation ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
- Develop and review singleline diagrams schematics and technical specifications.
- Perform electrical system studies including load flow fault level and protection coordination.
- Provide technical expertise for renewable energy power distribution and industrial projects.
- Collaborate with clients project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver highquality solutions.
- Ensure adherence to NRS SANS IEC and other relevant standards.
- Conduct site inspections testing and commissioning when required.
Requirements:
BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)Pr Eng registration with ECSA (Essential)
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering ideally within renewable energy EPC or industrial sectors
Strong knowledge of MV/LV design power systems and grid compliance
Experience with ETAP DigSilent or similar electrical design software
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Excellent problemsolving and communication skills
