The Opportunity
Due to our continued success and increase in workload we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Senior Heritage Consultant to join one of our UK offices e.g. Glasgow Edinburgh Carlisle Stoke Leeds Newcastle Bolton Birmingham Cardiff Bristol London Bury St Edmunds.
We offer flexible/hybrid working and could also consider a remote position with occasional office visits for the right person.
The role will involve working within Wardell Armstrongs national archaeology and heritage team to help deliver exciting and transformative projects across the UK ranging from advising our clients at the outset of project development to helping the archaeological fieldwork managers successfully deliver onsite archaeological fieldwork at pre and postdetermination stage.
In this role you will be required to undertake a wide range of projects and be responsible for stakeholder engagement and liaison. Projects would include the production of archaeological deskbased assessments Heritage Statements preparing written schemes of investigation for a variety of archaeological evaluation / mitigation works historic building recording and contribution to EIAs including scoping reports ES Chapter and technical assessment. You will also be required to seek business opportunities either through the formal tender process or through developing business opportunities within your professional network. You will be expected to contribute to the overall development of Wardell Armstrongs archaeology and heritage team through mentoring staff and maintaining quality.
