Job Title: New Product Development (NPD) Manager
Location: Newtownards Northern Ireland
Salary: Competitive based on experience

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated New Product Development (NPD) Manager to join a leading food manufacturer based in Newtownards. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative individual to contribute to the development of new highquality food products in a dynamic and fastpaced environment. As an NPD Manager you will play a crucial role in driving the companys growth through the successful development of new products and enhancements to the existing product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the NPD process from concept through to launch working closely with crossfunctional teams including Marketing Production and Quality.
- Develop and refine product ideas ensuring they meet customer requirements quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage product trials oversee sensory evaluations and provide feedback to ensure products align with market demands and company objectives.
- Create and manage project timelines and ensure that product development milestones are met.
- Work with suppliers to source ingredients and materials that meet cost quality and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure the successful launch and promotion of new products.
- Stay informed on industry trends consumer preferences and competitor products to guide innovation.
- Provide technical expertise and ensure that all new products comply with health and safety regulations food safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Food Science Food Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in NPD within the food manufacturing sector.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading product development teams.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations HACCP and product testing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and engage with external suppliers and stakeholders.
- Creative and proactive approach to problemsolving and product innovation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
