Visa is seeking a proactive product business and commercial lawyer to join its growing legal team that supports Visas ValueAdded Services organization. The position is for an Associate Counsel who will report to a Senior Managing Counsel Visa Legal: ValueAdded Services.
The role includes responsibility for supporting Risk and Identity Services either as the lead commercial attorney for certain products and services or as part of a small team of experienced counsel. Products and services include Visas new and existing ValueAdded Services relating to risk and identity products. The attorney will work closely with other experienced Visa lawyers and compliance professionals and regularly engage directly with business clients.
Applicants must be skilled at 1 managing multiple priorities in a fastpaced and challenging but highly rewarding environment 2 have good judgment and strong analytical client counseling and negotiation skills 3 be an adept issue spotter and creative problem solver 4 be selfmotivated and 5 most importantly be an optimistic curious and collaborative team player.
The role is based in Atlanta GA but candidates in Austin TX Denver CO and Washington D.C. may be considered.

Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
Strong academic credentials including a J.D. degree (or international equivalent)
Valid license to practice in the state where the job is located or the ability to become state registered inhouse counsel in good standing
Prior experience in at least one of the following areas: payments (and related credit and debit processing) financial services technology or fintech industries
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as needed and engage directly with business clients at all levels
Demonstrated ability to drive in a team environment integrating legal advice and business knowledge while providing balanced advice regarding risks and benefits
Must be a practical and creative problemsolver with developed business acumen and the ability to understand the companys business interests and anticipate the nature and magnitude of issues that could arise in various settings
Must be able to manage and drive the legal and regulatory aspects of complex business initiatives both in the U.S. and internationally
Transactional background (corporate commercial arrangements) with extensive experience drafting and negotiating a wide array of commercial agreements
Working knowledge of privacy and competition laws
Must be able to multitask and manage a significant workload and many clients with minimal supervision
Additional Information :
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 510 of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $152900 to $195000 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
