- The following positions are available:
- Two 2 fulltime elementary special education resource room teachers

Summary of Position:
- Responsible for delivering targeted instruction in core academic areas in the resource room
- This position works closely with classroom teachers and the building principal to organize and provide targeted interventions for Special Education students at Parma.
- Must be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with students and families general and special education teachers administration and other district leaders.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with students parents teachers and the Response to Intervention team.
- Ability to be organized and multitask.
Specific Knowledge Skills:
- Background and working knowledge of MTSS/RtI Interventions and Supports (Academic and Behavioral)
- Excellent communication public relations and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to problemsolve and seek creative solutions for struggling students
- Ability to develop templates and schedules for interventions within the building
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of students in Young Fives Fifth Grade
- Create a plan of success and documentation for each student on their caseload (IEP checkins behavior plans small group intervention time rewards systems accountability systems etc.
- Communicate with students parents teachers administrators and WESST team
- Actively engage in the PLC @ Work process in collaboration
Qualifications:
- A valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- An endorsement in Learning Disabilities (SM) K12
