Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Performs data entry duties including checking data accuracy and performing data audits 65.
  • Provides administrative support to permanent staff by performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties including maintaining filing systems creating files retrieving records preparing documents for review and electronic filing 30.

Work Schedule

  7. Typing data entry and retrieval experience; intermediate skill level with Adobe MicrosoftWord Excel Outlook and Access.
  8. Availability to work between 1020 hours per week during the academic year and summerwith at least 2hour time blocks.
  9. Available to work for at least a year.


Position Overview
The student assistant position performs general office related tasks in the Contract Negotiations unit in the Office of Research. Many tasks involve spreadsheets databases and other computerbased applications. The position requires prioritization and management of timesensitive tasks in a fastpaced work environment as well asreceptionistrelated dutiesand other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1 have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2 be preenrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3 be enrolled in summer session or 4 be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

Employment Conditions
1 Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.

2 This is an hourly/nonexempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/nonexempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
