Job Description

Blue Hills Regional Technical Schools mission is to continue its history of academic achievement technical training and character development through a curriculum which emphasizes the integration of cuttingedge technical programs and challenging academic courses; enabling its students to become competent caring and productive people in a diverse and changing world. A mathematics teacher at Blue Hills can expect to:Work with a diverse student body from nine surrounding communities to support the students academic and socialemotional needsDesign and implement lessons with UDL strategies that promote students proficiency in high school mathematicsPrepare students for the Mathematics MCASAssume responsibility for the academic progress of all studentsUtilize online resources to expand connections to the sciencesWork with department members and the Academic Director to ensure alignment to current Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district initiativesPromote a schoolwide culture of respect and responsibilityParticipate in professional development opportunities to learn new and broaden existing skillsThe candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and may be assigned other duties by the administration.
