The University of Southern Maines Occupational Therapy Department invites applications for a parttime faculty opening for Summer/Fall 2025.
Responsibilities of Part Time Faculty include developing a course syllabus and adhering to the corresponding schedule of course content; responding to student inquiries of course material both during class time and over email; administering course assignments and/or exams; and grading student coursework in a timely manner.
We are seeking instructors with occupational therapy practice experience in adult physical disabilities and rehabilitation to support the lab section of the physical disabilities course. The Occupational Therapy Departmentis located at USMs LewistonAuburn campus in Lewiston Maines second largest city located on the Androscoggin River.
Parttime faculty members are paid on a credit hour basis based on prior teaching experience. In addition USM employees can use their USM Card to access the library Cigna Employee Assistance Plan and fitness center(s).USM also offers parttime faculty the opportunity to get an online teaching certification and training through CTEL in addition to other developmental opportunities open to all staff throughout the year.
