Job Description

The Human Resources Manager is a critical position for the functioning of the school. The Human Resources Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Business and Human Resources and works closely with the Head of School COO and other HR team members. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for all tasks of the human resources department and is the primary point of contact for all employees potential employees and former employees related to their employment at Capital Human Resources Manager maintains and enhances Capital Citys human resources by planning implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies programs and practices. This will involve handling timesensitive duties and tasks maintaining employee records; and ensuring all personnel policies are uptodate communicated and enforced. These tasks must be performed with care and attention following procedures exactly to make sure all parts of the job are completed in accordance with policies. This job description provides an outline of the duties of the position but there may be additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Manager of Business and is a 12month position which is exempt and therefore not eligible for overtime pay under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager include:Employee RelationsServe as a point of contact for employee inquiries and employee grievances and resolve conflicts in a fair and consistent investigations and provide recommendations for disciplinary actions. Maintain employee records and ensure and OnboardingManage the fullcycle recruitment process including job postings candidate sourcing screening resumes conducting interviews and extending job and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and and DevelopmentAssist in the development and delivery of training training needs and recommend appropriate training and evaluate the effectiveness of training ManagementAssist in the administration of the performance management guidance to managers on performance evaluations and and analyze performance AdministrationAssist in the administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans and leave policies. Answer employee questions regarding benefits and resolve benefitsrelated issues. Conduct benefits enrollment and termination ComplianceEnsure compliance with all federal state and local employment laws and uptodate knowledge of HR best practices and trends. Assist with HR audits and compliance with I9 EEO ADA FMLA and other applicable AdministrationMaintain accurate and organized HR records and payroll processes including time & attendance systemsPrepare HR reports and with HR projects and HRrelated and update the HRIS professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional excellent relationships with employeesDesired QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources Labor Relations or a related in HR or Labor RelationsStrong knowledge of HR principles practices and employment to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive or PHR certification communication interpersonal and problemsolving organizational and time management and decisionmaking to multitask and prioritize to detail and to work independently and as part of a team. In addition to the above requirements candidates must meet the requirements of all hires at Capital City including a criminal background check.
