Nuveen is seeking a talented Senior Lead Frontend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a blend of unique technical expertise limitless curiosity and possess an analytical mindset. This role will be working independently as well as with a team in the design and development of missioncritical websites applications and layers of infrastructure.
This role will be responsible for designing and building front end applications leveraging statemanagement frameworks on the AWS platform for Nuveens strategic digital platform. This includes integration of thirdparty systems connecting frontend components to backend processes and configuration of information technology software. This role guides frontend engineers in best practices ensures compliance with the SDLC leads architecture review sessions conducts code reviews and ensures quality delivery of complex software components.
This position owns various functions processes and systems related to the Separately Managed Account (SMA) platform. The role has significant leadership responsibilities working across Product Technology and Nuveen Technology making critical decisions on application/component design system integration and delivery.
We are seeking an individual who has expertise with React Amazon Web Services (AWS) and developing micro frontend applications to succeed quickly in this role. This is a handson role (requires coding) and is a critical role within Nuveen Technology that will have an immediate impact on our business success.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Designs codes develops and unit tests applications in accordance with established standards.
Analyzes issues and resolves bottlenecks.
Designs robust APIs to support projects.
Monitors development work to ensure resulting software meets established requirements and business value.
Partners with the Product Analysts UI and backend development teams to groom the backlog plan sprints design solutions and deliver according to plans.
Handson ownership of software development and delivery including post deployment activities.
Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud.
Develop automated test scripts to ensure business needs are met and allow for regression testing.
Communicate routinely with stakeholders project managers quality assurance teams and other developers regarding progress on longterm technology roadmap.
Produce quality code raising the bar for team performance and speed.
Recommend bestfit technologies and lead buy v. build decisions to deliver bestinclass applications for the business.
Coaches reviews and delegates work to team members.
Provide team with mentorship ensuring best practices and alignment to the SDLC.

Base Pay Range: $110600/yr. $178000/yr.Actual base salary may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience time in role base salary of internal peers prior performance business sector and geographic location.
